'My passion for food was rooted early on in my youth and has been fervently nurtured since. As a child I inherited my mother's love of baking and weekends were filled with a variety of over-cooked and under-risen concoctions that only a child's over-active imagination could contrive. Born and bred a Malaysian at heart, but grown up a Londoner, I consider myself a true hybrid of East-West predilections. That's to say, never without a bottle of chili sauce but a fervent supporter of fish finger and chip butties''
